Northern California-based artist Sam Flax is a multi-instrumentalist who creates dark wave indie pop music. Pairing his fascination with pop culture and an experimental pop sensibility, he released his debut album Age Waves, with Burger Records as well as The Sound of Sweet Nothing in 2012. His mix of garage and electro pop evokes 1960s psychedelia, 1970s rock and the new wave sounds of the 1980s while still remaining rooted in modern times.
