William Edgar Oddie, better known professionally as Bill Oddie, is a British comedian, author and musician. A native of Rochdale, Lancashire, he started his comedy career while studying at Cambridge University. He acted in several theater productions that went on to become highly successful. During this time, he also wrote scripts for TV shows. After graduating, he went on to perform in BBC's radio show. Over the years, he has written for and performed in several comedy shows including Twice a Fortnight. Oddie is also an ardent natural historian and birder, and has written multiple books on birdwatching. He was inducted into the Birmingham Walk of Stars in 2009.
