Public Enemy

Fronted by Chuck D and the notorious Flava Flav, Public Enemy is an East Coast hip-hop group that was formed in 1982. The band was quickly signed to Def Jam, as label heads wanted a group that would fuse hard-hitting hip-hop with politically-charged rap. Though the group's first album for Def Jam didn't sell well, its subsequent albums reached international audiences. Now considered one of the greatest hip hop groups of all time, Public Enemy appeases its fan with occasional tours.
