Mark Padmore is a British tenor who has appeared in a number of well received recitals and operas over the course of his professional career. Born in London and raised in Canterbury, Padmore began casually playing clarinet and piano before being awarded a choral scholarship to King's College, Cambridge. After graduating in 1982 with an honors degree in music, Padmore would go on to make a name for himself throughout the 1980s with appearances in a number of operas including Don Giovanni, Jephtha and Platée.
