Based in New York City, Amina Figarova is a jazz pianist and composer who began studying classical piano as a child. After discovering her affinity for jazz, she focused her energy into jazz composition before honing her style at Berklee College of Music. Figarova released her debut album, Attraction, in 1995 and earned immediate acclaim for her fusion of funk, R&B and modern jazz. As she continues to contribute to the world of jazz as an instructor and performer, she has maintained an ardent recording schedule and released her twelfth studio album, Twelve, in 2012.
