Sometimes referred to as the King of Rockabilly, Ray Campi is a singer/songwriter and musician native to New York. After moving to Austin in 1944, he cut his teeth playing various American music styles, from folk and country to southern rock, while he also held several different day jobs. Armed with his signature, white double bass, he rose to attention for his own unadulterated rockabilly sound, as well as through his work with some of rock and roll's most beloved legends, including Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley.
