East Is East is a drama by British-Pakistani actor and dramatist Ayub Khan-Din. Premiered in 1996 at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre Studio, it tells the story of George Khan, a shop owner, who is ben on ensuring that his children get a Muslim upbringing. Tensions in the family reach an all-time high when Khan's English wife gets caught up in the quarrel between father and children.
