Shamir Bailey, who performs and releases music as Shamir, is a pop singer/songwriter from Las Vegas who released his debut EP, Northtown, in 2014. With a progressive attitude that is reflected in his music, Shamir doesn't identify with a specific gender or sexual preference, saying, "I don't identify as gay because I don't identify as male or female." Since releasing his debut EP, Shamir has been signed to EX Recordings, releasing his debut LP, Ratchet, in 2015.
