John Carpenter is an American film director, screenwriter and composer who has directed and scored a number of well known horror, suspense and action movies including The Thing, Escape from New York and Big Trouble in Little China. In 2015, Carpenter released his first album of not film score music. Dubbed Lost Themes, the songs are atmospheric explorations and dark soundscapes filled with woozy synth arrangements and powerful rhythmic propulsions. On tour, Carpenter is joined by a full live band that helps bring sections of his well-known film scores and original songs to life.
