Miracle Legion is an indie pop rock band that was formed as a four-piece band in 1984. The group's debut EP, The Backyard, became a surprise college radio hit in 1984. Soon after, the band slimmed down to a duo with the departure of its rhythm section. Singer Mark Mulcahy and drummer Ray Neal continued on making new music, such as the 1988 EP, Glad. Before releasing its first full-length effort, 1989's You're the One Lee, Miracle Legion expanded into a full band once again. The band continued to release new records like Portrait of a Damaged Family, before splitting up in 1996. A decade later, Mulcahy reunited Miracle Legion and the band reintroduced itself with a series of shows in the US.
