A member of Liga MX, Mexico's premier league, Atlante is a professional football club based out of Cancún. The club was founded in 1916 and originally called Mexico City home before moving to Cancún at the start of the 2007-2008 season. Atlante won its first premier league championship in the 1946-1947 season and hosts its home games at Andrés Quintana Roo stadium.
