Orange Country based producer/DJ Mochi Beats is the Asian equivalent of Girl Talk. Specializing in unexpected mashups of Top 40 songs with more indie tracks to create highly palatable dancefloor hits, Mochi Beats gained his popularity on the blogosphere thanks to the website Hype Machine. After releasing his 2010 debut album, Mochi Beats took up a residency at the dance club Proof in Santa Ana, California.
