Paul Jason Dardo, better known as Violet Chachki, is an American drag queen and burlesque dancer. The Atlanta, GA native began performing as Violet at the age of 19. Using a fake ID to perform in local drag shows, Violet managed to book gigs and eventually won Miss New Faces at Friends on Ponce in their hometown. Successful appearances at various burlesque shows, magazine cover shoots and commercials helped them make a name for themselves in the industry. They were a contestant on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race and were lauded for their confidence, and taste in fashion and design. In the drag world, Violet has made a mark through their burlesque performances and aerial acrobatics that employ aerial hoops and silk. Additionally, they have released the EP Gagged and singles such as "Bettie," "Vanguard" and "A Lot More Me."
