The Undercover Dream Lovers is Los Angeles-based Matt Koenig's rock and indie-pop project. Koenig debuted the project in 2016 with the EP While It's in Style. He followed it up with the singles "The Way You Look" and "Good Luck." The former was a collaboration with Rivka. The next three years saw the release of multiple singles such as "Rewind," "Right Now" and "All You Need," and the EP In Real Time. "You Don't Have to be Lonely" was The Undercover Dream Lovers' first release of 2020. The project's first full-length album, It's All in Your Head, dropped a month later in February 2020.
