British synthpop musician/producer Joe Flory, who calls himself Primary 1, makes surprisingly indie-leaning music for being on a major label. While his debut single, which featured Nina Persson of The Cardigans', was released on Atlantic, it managed to get attention from both underground scenes and mainstream fans. With an affinity for eye-catching videos and press photos, Flory has upped the publicity surrounding his pseudonym and will likely only gain more popularity with time.
