Brooklyn trio Das Racist was forged in the dorms of Connecticut's Wesleyan University, where Himanshu Kumar Suri and Victor Vazquez would drunkenly freestyle together. Realizing they had the ability to amuse their friends and colleagues with their loose, sarcastic and funny rhymes, the two added hype man, Ashok Kondabolu, started playing shows and began to distribute their own mixtapes online. The result is a clever hip-hop send-up of modern rap trends, pop culture and pretty much any random topic the two feel like riffing on. Das Racist wound up with a youtube hit in 2009 with the novelty song, "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell."
