Originally from Tokyo, Japan dubstep producer Goth-Trad now resides in London with the rest of the dubstep pioneers. Goth-Trad began releasing tracks relatively early in dubstep's ascension, putting out some of his first productions in 2007. Some of this earlier Goth-Trad material contained more upfront, higher pitched basslines than some of the material he released later in his career, though Goth-Trad's sound is generally darker and more malevolent than producers working in this realm. Goth-Trad is signed to dubstep progenitor Mala's label Deep Medi Musik, a venerated label for lesser known producers and forward thinking artists.
