Alex et sa Guitare is a one-man audio and visual project from France. Its ringleader--who simply goes by Alex--started his career in improvisational theater before shifting to focus more on music. Armed with only a guitar, a drum machine and a sampler, he creates a lively - if sometimes over-the-top - blend of French pop, acoustic rock and funk. To his credit, the whole performance is approached with a definite sense of humor and a lack of self-seriousness. In addition to his odd blend of troubadour style and theatrical showmanship, is the visual component of Alex's music. His videos are shot with makeshift, whimsical creativity, complementing the quirky nature of the music. Alex et sa Guitare regularly tours all over France and occasionally branches out to other spots in Western Europe.
