Because an overwhelming majority of electronic dance music is mindless, dance-inducing drivel, created with the sole purpose of making intoxicated individuals move their feet, it's refreshing to come across a musician like Stockholm-based beatsmith Adrian Lux, who crafts intelligent songs with four-on-the-floor house beats and adept production value. While Lux's crisp dance floor orchestrations are definite anthems, they're delicate, finely manicured sonic compositions that aren't overbearing club bangers that incite fist pumping. He has been crafting original pieces since 2006 and has received a good amount of laudation in the Scandinavian electronic music scene for his innovative approach to sculpting dance-friendly, yet astute, electro tunes.
