él-g is the recording name of Laurent Gerard, an experimental folk musician from Brussels who takes a more avant-garde approach to reproducing the sound of traditional French ballads. Although it might be tough for someone to discern anything "traditional" from él-g's ambient electronic mixes, his interpretations nonetheless remain a fascinating move for the genre. His debut album, Tout Ploie, is comprised of new and previously released work.
