Santana Pasta and Luka Carnifull joined forces in 1999 to form the shamelessly named duo, Fare Soldi. The fact that their name means "Making Money" in Italian clearly spells out their professional ambitions, albeit with a slightly satirical attitude. They bring this ethos to the stage by donning shimmering gold jackets straight out of the hottest early 1990s fashion magazines and even throw in Seinfeld-style slap bass lines to spice up the nostalgia trip. The duo does all of this schlock with a great sense of humor and it's a welcome relief to hear the group chop up Duran Duran's "Rio" into a happy electro beat.
