Keepaway

Indie band Keepaway merges Animal Collective's drug-addled campfire singalongs with the pop smarts of the best 1980s New Wave bands, only with a weirder edge. The band builds their songs using a combination of live instrumentation, electronics and sampled recordings. On top of becoming a critical success immediately after releasing their first EP, the Brooklyn trio has also become known for being equally skilled at producing tracks for other artists--most notably the brilliantly satirical hip-hop group Das Racist.
