Kinch

With a sound that mixes '60s garage rock and '90s Brit pop in equal measure, the indie-pop band Kinch takes their name as a reference to the main character in James Joyce's Ulysses. Upon formation in early 2008, the Phoenix-based band started self-releasing albums to local critical acclaim. The band drew the attention of seminal alt-rock duo Local H, who recruited Kinch as their backing band. Kinch has since recorded more self-released albums in addition to touring nationally.
