Formed in 2003, L. Stadt is an band that comes from one of the last places on earth most people would expect to spawn an alternative rock group: Poland. Because the band's home country isn't a hotbed for emerging music acts, L. Stadt played shows outside of Poland's borders during its formative years to spread the goodwill of the group's music. Listeners in Germany and the Czech Republic took notice of the four piece's vintage rock n' roll style--flamboyant front man, hook-filled guitar riffs and more. Soon the band was traveling outside of the Eastern European block to play before audiences that were truly appreciative of the raw nature of the quintet's rock music. The group released its debut LP in 2008 and as L. Stadt continues to tour the European nation as well as play festivals around the world, its popularity will undoubtedly continue to grow.
