The Ugly Beats

The Ugly Beats is a garage rock band from Austin, Texas that saw its rise out of obscurity through a series of high energy, nostalgia-laden shows that have had locals and music critics alike singing the band's praises. Forming in 2003, The Ugly Beats' five members came together out of their mutual love for 1960s music, particularly the energy-filled, fashion-conscious aspects of the era's dance floor pop. After almost immediately being picked up by a record label, The Ugly Beats went on to release its debut album Take a Stand With The Ugly Beats in 2007--an album that gives listeners only a taste of what a live show put on by the band has to offer.
