White White Sisters is the dance rock duo of vocalist/guitarist/programmer Yuya Matsumura and drummer Kazumasa Ishii. Hailing from Nagoya, Japan, the band takes the precepts of electronic dance music and applies them to a live band setting with a bare bones drum kit, slick electric guitars, live (and heavily processed) vocals and the type of synth lines common to club music. Despite only being a two piece, the band produces a huge sound, played with such high energy that a dance party inevitably break out as soon as the group starts playing. Joining the band at its live shows is visual artist Kouta Tajima, who projects abstract, hallucinatory visualizations as the band performs.
