Lex Land

Lex Land is the name of an Austin, Texas-based female singer/songwriter who writes tunes with a distinctive self-reflective quality. Her chirpy folk-pop tunes might at first sound like the discharge of a stereotypical hack who has no real songwriting power. But if acute detail is paid to Land's lyrics, listeners can discern a powerful songwriting ability that is hidden behind a masquerade of radio-friendly instrumentals. Land released her debut album, Orange Days on Lemon Street, in 2008 and it helped solidify her role as an up-and-coming musician who will probably write a fairly popular song at some point in her career.
