Montreal-based band, Buddy Mcneil & The Magic Mirrors, isn't shy about displaying its influences. The four-piece covers and reworks songs by Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper with equal relish. Generally sticking to rockabilly, doo-wop and 50s girl group R&B, Buddy Mcneil & The Magic Mirrors doesn't provide anything particularly innovative, but instead revives the classics. Performing in full sailor garb since its inception in 2007, the band is an entertaining live act to behold.
