Seemingly inspired by the hypnotic loops, sonic experimentation and electronic pop of Animal Collective, Melting Season is the one-man project of Dallas, Texas native, Bruce Blay. With a lo-fi but densely packed approach to his music, Blay combines live instrumentation, hazy electronics, odd found samples and multiple tracks of vocals covered in effects to create a psychedelic brand of bedroom pop. His work has been well-received amongst fans of adventurous electronic and indie music throughout Texas and has gained comparisons to current collage-style artists such as The Books and Four Tet.
