With influences that include the Ramones and the Dead Kennedys, and a Sex Pistols pun for a name, hard-edged electro duo Nid and Sancy wear their punk rock influences on their sleeves. The group is the product of Tania Gallagher and Bart Demey, two electronic musicians based out of Gent, Belgium. The two use gritty tones in their synthesizer and drum tracks to make raw, pulsing dance tracks that are injected with the dance punk energy of early LCD Soundsystem singles. The group's debut LP, Talk to the Machine, was released in 2005.
