Hostalric Castle: Guided Visit

Hostalric Castle has had its fair share of hard knocks over the years. A fortification existed in the vicinity of the castle as early as 1145 and over the centuries the fortress has played an important strategic position, controlling the Royal Way (Camí Ral) between Barcelona and Girona.During your visit, you'll see the key defensive features of the fortress and find out how the bastions and moat played an integral role in fending off attack during battles.
