Based in Braunschweig, Germany, New Yorker Lions is an American football team that was formerly known as the Braunschweig Lions. It competes in the German Football League and is the most successful & dominant American football team in Germany. It has a very rich legacy that boasts a record setting trophy haul which consists of laurels such as the German Bowl, Euro Bowl and the GFL North that the team have won on numerous occasions. It was formed in 1987 and plays its home fixtures at the Eintracht-Stadion. Notable players to have represented the team include the likes of Steffen Dölger, Bastian Kypke and Matt Riazzi who are also included in the club’s Hall of Fame.
