An eight-piece British reggae and ska group led by talented lead vocalist Tyber Cranstoun, The Dualers started out as a street music project before finding unexpected fame. Cranstoun formed the group in 1999, inspired by classic reggae from the likes of Bob Marley and Toots and the Maytals. Performing on street corners throughout the greater London area, the band's energetic style slowly won over ever-increasing amounts of passersby who grew fond of its endearing mix of original material and reworkings of classic songs. In 2004, word-of-mouth helped land "Kiss on the Lips," the band's debut single, at # 23 on UK Singles chart, a feat that quickly brought The Dualers from underground street appeal to the national spotlight. The band now continues to enjoy success via large theater shows and occasional soundtrack contributions to major Hollywood films.
