Peter Yarrow is a folk rock singer/songwriter from New York City who is perhaps best known as one of the lead members of 1960s folk band Peter, Paul and Mary. Having achieved worldwide fame while he was in the group as the co-writer of "Puff the Magic Dragon," Peter Yarrow's solo career was a bit more subdued, and honed in more on social activism, particularly against the Vietnam War during the 1970s. Today, Peter Yarrow continues his very successful career as a touring musician as well as one of the United States' more outspoken social activists.
