Celebration of Afro-American Freedom Juneteenth stands for June 19, the day slavery ended in Texas. The celebration has all the elements of a traditional festival. Food booths, arts and crafts tables, games and rides line the streets of Five Points. Other activities include a baseball tournament, a large parade to commence the activities, and a Sunday gospel fest with preachers from the Denver community. There are also special exhibits at the Black American West Museum and Heritage Center. Timings to be decided.
