Crust punk band Cult Leader rose out of Salt Lake City in 2013. Wielding elements of grindcore and sludge metal, the group signed to Jacob Bannon of Converge's imprint Deathwish. Cult Leader dropped its debut LP Lightless Walk, in 2015.
