The Saskatchewan Roughriders is a professional football team based out of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada that plays in the Western Division of the Canadian Football League. Founded in 1910, the organization started out as a rugby team and was originally known as the Regina Rugby Club. It changed its name to the Regina Roughriders in 1924 and once again altered its moniker in 1946 to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
