Courtney Barnett is an Australia-based singer/songwriter and guitarist who creates guitar-driven rock compositions. She released her self-recorded debut EP, I've got a Friend Called Emily Ferris, in 2012, earning critical attention for her garage rock-infused brand of folk-pop. Barnett dropped her first full-length LP, titled The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas, in 2013, and went onto earn a reputation as one of the most original voices of modern rock with her internal-monologue lyrical style.
