The Hamilton Tiger-Cats is a football team that plays in the East Division of the Canadian Football League. Founded in 1950 when the Hamilton Tigers merged with the Hamilton Wildcats, the organization has gone through a number of ups and downs since its inception. Distinguishing itself by being the first team in the CFL to have ever won the prestigious Grey Cup on its home field in 1972, the club has also bottomed out, like in 2003, when it set a CFL record with most losses (17) in a single season.
