Always Patsy Cline is a play that tells the true story of the unlikely friendship between country singer Patsy Cline and a Houston, Texas housewife named Louise Seger. After meeting circumstantially at one of Cline's concerts, the two women hit it off and struck up a friendship that would culminate in in Cline spending a night at Seger's house. The two carried on a lifelong friendship that would last until Cline's unfortunate death in a plane crash in 1963. Focusing on how a case of hero warship can grow into a relationship of mutual respect, attendees of Always Patsy Cline don't need to be familiar with Cline's music to understand and take away the play's important messages about friendship.
