Lewis Black is a stand-up comedian from Silver Spring, MD who, aside from his stand-up comedy shows, is perhaps best known for his irreverant commentary segment on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart entitled "Back in Black." Black's trademark, disgruntled-to-the-verge-of-insanity comic style made him one of Comedy Central's biggest talents since he premiered his own special on the network in 1998. Since then, Black has continued his thoroughly successful career with the network, as well as his career in stand-up, which produced a Grammy Award winning comedy album of his groundbreaking Carnegie Hall performance in 2007.
