As a pivotal member of bands such as Joe Rockhead, The Ugly Americans and The Scabs, Bob Schneider has been a fixture on the Austin, Texas music scene since the early 1990s. Now focused on a solo career, he's known to play everything from mellow acoustic ballads, to glossy pop and twangy rock and roll. The devoted fan base he has accrued over the years has come as a result of hard work, a couple dozen albums and a commitment to live performances that has seen him playing weekly gigs at Austin's Saxon Pub for around ten years running. With a sturdy backbone comprised of his engaging stage presence and strong musicianship, Schneider seems willing to tackle any style he deems fit, without ever sacrificing his inert talents as a pop-minded songwriter.
