This festival honors Nevada's admission into the Union on October 31, 1864. Festivities include art exhibits, Grand Ball Dinner & Dance, Pancake Breakfast and the Nevada Day Parade with its more than 200 floats representing schools and organizations from around the state. Downtown saloons provide inexpensive libations, and a respite from the hustle and bustle. Admission is free. Bring money for food, drink and other purchases. Some vendors may take credit cards.
