Raised in a family of musicians, their father and uncles making up the popular Canadian country band The Good Brothers, Travis and Dallas Good began making music professionally in 1998. Adding a drummer and a bassist, the newly formed band called itself The Sadies and began honing its indie country-rock sound. Though the band has released multiple albums by itself, it is the collaborative releases that harness the most acclaim, particularly the album Country Club with John Doe, which was the band's first album to obtain mainstream US success.
