Amanda Rogers Live Performance & Album Release/"The Loneliest Whale" Documentary
Join us July 19th for our inaugural live performance as we welcome Amanda Rogers to the Manlius Cinema Stage for a first performance and listening party of her latest EP album, 52 Hurts, set for worldwide release July 20th on all platforms. Amanda is a Sammy Award winning singer-songwriter with 13 solo albums that span over 20 years. She has delighted audiences the world over with her introspective lyrics and haunting melodies that have been a testament to the depth and complexity of the human condition. In her latest EP album, 52 Hurts, Amanda Rogers delves into the profound emotional landscapes that define our existence. Inspired by the mysterious "52 Hertz Whale", known as 'the loneliest whale creature on Earth' due to its unique and solitary vocalizations, Amanda draws a parallel to the solitary struggles we all face in our lives. The evening will begin with a screening of the Bleecker Street documentary "The Loneliest Whale" that follows scientists on a cinematic quest to find the "52 Hertz Whale". Together, we will explore what this whale's lonely plight can teach us- not just about our changing relationship to the oceans, but to each other. Executive Produced with Leonardo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier and directed by Joshua Reman.NON-REFUNDABLE, NO PASSES OR DISCOUNTS
