Ali Wong is a stand-up comedian, actress, and writer who is known for maintaining a rigorous show schedule, performing up to nine times a night. She began her stand-up career at Brainwas Cafe in San Francisco, where she was born and raised. She moved to New York and quickly established her own brand of raw, confidently, and shameless comedy. She skyrocketed into the spotlight with her now iconic 2016 Netflix special Baby Cobra, during which she fearlessly and hilariously tackles common but squeamish subjects such as having a miscarriage, interracial dating, and dealing with aging parents, all the while performing while seven months pregnant. The special was immediately lauded by critics and fellow comics as nothing short of revolutionary. In addition to her stand-up work, Wong has appeared in television shows such as American Housewife and Black Box and is a staff writer for Fresh Off the Boat.
