Ellen DeGeneres is a celebrated comedian, writer and TV host. She started her career in the early 1980s, performing stand-up comedy at small clubs. Her first stint on television was in the sitcom Open House in the late 1980s where she played the role of Margo Van meter. After a number of other roles in TV shows, she launched her own show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, in 2003. Over time, it has become one of the most reputed celebrity talk shows across the world and has been graced by big names. DeGeneres has won multiple honors like Daytime Emmy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards over the course of her career.
