L.A. is the solo project of Madrid-based artist Albert Lluis Segura. After playing in bands such as The Green Cherries, The Valendas and The Nash, Segura embarked on a solo career in 2004 and started his own label, Dreamville Records. He spent three years writing and recording and finally emerged with L.A.'s debut album Heavenly Hell, in 2009. As the sole contributor of instrumentation, vocals and songwriting, he enlisted the help of renowned producer Brendan O'Brien and his protege Nick Didia for a refined, finished record. L.A. dropped his follow-album Heavenly Hell Naked..., in 2010 with a rawer sound.
