During the mid to late 1960s there was an explosion of blues-centric rock music in England. Musicians were incorporating the garage rock ethos of the new American style with musical influences that were popular in England at the time to create an amalgamation of sound that was unlike anything that most people had heard. One of the more noted guitarists from this period is Robin Trower. The Brit originally got his start playing six string with the group Procol Harum, but after feeling the trappings of group confines, Trower launched a solo career that has let him dictate his own musical journey. Trower is also in high demand as a touring musician and he has played with several well known figures from the music world like Bryan Ferry and Jack Bruce.
