Founded in 1988, God Street Wine is a band from New York City that blends together an amalgam of varied styles including rock, jazz, psychedelia, folk and funk to create a distinctive and exploratory style of music. Playing a role in the development of the improvisational jam scene of the early 1990s, God Street Wine would share the stage with Dave Matthew Band, the Black Crowes and The Allman Brothers during its heyday. Though the band broke up in 1999, it reformed in 2009 and has since continued to release music and tour.
